Driver's Age
The minimum driver’s age is 21 years.  A surcharge applies to drivers aged 21 to 25 years.
The maximum driver’s age is 85 years.  
No Senior Driver Fee. ‘Driving at night’ and ‘area of use’ restrictions may apply to drivers over 80 years of age. A ‘fit to drive’ medical certificate may be requested for drivers 80 years old, and over 

Additional Drivers
Additional drivers are allowed for a fee of AUD 10 per day. All additional drivers must meet the same license and age requirements as the main driver. Only the renter and additional drivers listed in the rental agreement are authorized to drive the vehicle. Any accident involving an unauthorized driver will void all insurance coverage and the renter will be fully responsible for all damages.

Driver’s License
A full unrestricted Driver’s License is required as per Australian law. Driver must present a full and valid physical driving license that should be valid with no major endorsements..
Digital or photo copies of licenses are not accepted.

An International Driver’s License (IDL) is mandatory only if the domestic license is not in the Roman/English alphabet and must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver.
Drivers from the US, Canada, and Australia do not need an IDL. 

Insurance Coverage

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
CDW cost is included in your rental. It limits the renter’s liability in case of damage to the rental vehicle, subject to an Insurance Excess of AUD $5000.
All coverage is only valid with a valid police report, where required by Queensland Law. 

Theft Waiver (THW)
THW is included in your rental. It limits the renter’s liability in case of theft to the rental vehicle, subject to a maximum of AUD $5000, and compliance with the Rental Agreement.

Third Party Liability (TPL)
Compulsory TPL insurance is included in all rentals in accordance with Australian law. It covers the driver’s legal liability for bodily injury or death of third parties, including passengers, caused by the rented vehicle, with no upper limit specified under legislation. It also provides coverage for damage to third-party property, with a limit of AUD $1,200,000 per accident.
This coverage does not extend to damage to the rental vehicle itself or to injuries sustained by the driver, unless additional coverage is purchased.

Excess Reduction Options
Additional Insurance Excess Reduction options are available at the rental desk to reduce or minimise the Excess Liability: 

SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) (optional):
Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) is an optional coverage that provides the highest level of protection, reducing the renter’s liability in case of damage to the vehicle. Depending on the chosen protection level, the excess and corresponding daily rates are as follows:
AUD 20/day reduces excess to AUD $2500
AUD 34/day reduces excess to AUD  1000
AUD 44/day reduces excess to AUD 200

Important Notice:
In the event of a motor vehicle crash resulting in significant damage to the vehicle. theft, fire or any incident that meets the criteria for a “reportable crash”, the renter must immediately notify both the police and the rental agency. An official accident or incident report issued by the relevant authority, together with any required insurance documentation, must be provided to the rental agency. Failure to obtain and submit these documents will result in insurance coverage being void. Whenever possible, the renter should not leave the vehicle unattended and must wait for authorized assistance
You must report the incident to the police (via 000 for emergencies (or Policelink 131 444 for non-urgent reporting) if any of the following apply:
Injury or Death: Anyone involved in the accident was injured or killed.
Towing Required: A vehicle involved cannot be driven safely and requires towing.
Details Not Exchanged: A driver involved in the crash fails or refuses to provide their details.
Influence of Drugs/Alcohol: You suspect another driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Damage to Public Property: Damage occurred to public infrastructure, such as fences, signs, or traffic lights. 
Key Procedures for Rental Cars in QLD: Report within 24 Hours: If it is a reportable crash, you must report it within 24 hours.
Contact the Rental Company: Regardless of whether the police are involved, you must notify the rental car company immediately.
Exchange Details: You must exchange names, addresses, and registration details with other parties.
Do Not Admit Liability: Do not admit fault at the scene, simply gather the facts and report them.
Document Everything: Take photos of the damage to the rental car and the scene and supply them to the rental agency. 

If the crash is minor (e.g., a low-speed bump with no injuries, no towing, and details are exchanged), it is not mandatory to report it to the police, but doing so via Policelink (131 444) is advisable for insurance purposes and requested by the Rental Car company. 

If an accident, theft, or damage occurs in a rural or remote area, the renter must provide a formal statement at the nearest police station or via Policelink. All documentation issued by the authority, including any official statement or report, must be submitted to the rental agency. Submission of these documents is mandatory for insurance coverage to be valid and effective.
Vandalism damages, tow truck, and road assistance due to negligence are not included.
Insurance does not cover damage of any type caused by driving through rivers, lakes, beaches, mangroves, and flooded roads or off-road. This will void any insurance coverage, and customers would be responsible for all damages.
No coverage if the driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the event.
No coverage applies when a rented vehicle is driven by an unauthorized driver.
CDW coverage does not cover vandalism damage, glass damage, flat tires, wheels, underbody or overhead damage, keys or accessories. If the damage is caused by factors other than a collision with another vehicle, THE CUSTOMER must assume full responsibility for the damage to the rented vehicle
Damage caused to the inside of the vehicle, including upholstery of the car, loss of car keys or documents, license plates, and emergency kits are not included in the insurance. Charges apply according to damages or loss and appraisal.
The renter and any additional drivers are liable for any loss or damage to the rental vehicle, even when the loss or damage is caused by a third party, or in the event the cause is unknown, whether because of theft, collision, vandalism or any other cause.
Credit card details are held on file in case of any toll route, parking violations, traffic violations, and will be authorized to charge for these reasons, admin fee of $50 AUD plus infringements fee will be applied if any of the above but not limited to the above.

Vehicle Condition
You must return the vehicle in the same condition as it was in when you received it, minus normal wear and tear. The Supplier will charge you at their own rates for any excessive staining/soiling and/or for both internal and external damage (including strong smells). You are responsible for inspecting the vehicle upon pick-up/drop-off and for the cost of any new damage found at the end of your rental period. Time and date stamped photos of the vehicle condition are supplied by the agency at pick-up.

Off-road driving 
Off-road driving is strictly prohibited. The vehicle may only be used on paved, public roads. Any damage resulting from off-road use will not be covered by insurance and will be fully charged to the customer. 

Breakdown Assistance
Breakdown assistance is available free of charge 24/7. If assistance is required due to customer fault, or if no additional insurance has been purchased, the renter is responsible for call-out and repair costs, along with an additional fee of AUD $120.

Relevant contact details and roadside assistance procedures will be provided before the start of the rental.

Other Fees:

1. Airport surcharges are included in the rental fee.
2. If the vehicle keys are lost or stolen, a fee of AUD $600 will apply depending on the vehicle model
3. You are responsible for the cost of any parking fines, tolls and other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to you. The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to you plus AUD $50 for administrative expenses.
4. You will be provided with digital copies of relevant rental documents, at no cost to you.
5. In case of wrong fuel, the customer will pay for all costs associated with repairs and agency expenses.
6. If the vehicle is returned excessively dirty, a cleaning fee of up to AUD $200 may apply. This charge is applied in specific cases, such as when seats or floor mats are contaminated by food, liquids, or other substances that leave stains requiring professional cleaning.
7. Smoking in the vehicle is strictly prohibited. A cleaning and sanitation fee of AUD$ 500 will apply if smoking is detected.

8. Fuel Policy - Same to Same
The client must return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel provided at the time of check-out (usually full). If the fuel tank is not returned at the same level, the missing fuel will be charged at local market rates plus refueling service fee of AUD $20.

Tax Rate
Tax (GST) is included in the rental price.

Payment Methods
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex credit cards are accepted. The credit card must be in the principal hirer’s name when paying at the rental desk or pre-paying.  Debit cards are also accepted for the car rental payment portion.

Deposit
A Security Deposit of $1000 AUD will apply and can only be provided by a valid credit card in the main driver’s name. Debit cards, prepaid cards, and cash are not accepted for the deposit.

Delivery and Collection
A Pick-up and Drop-off service is available from our local Airport and local Tourist Accommodation, during business hours.

Out of Hours
Vehicle Pick-up or Drop-off shall be arranged in advance. Conditions apply.

One Way Drop-Off Charge
One-way drop-off between other cities, is not generally available. Assistance is given with organizing shuttles where necessary.

Area of Use
Vehicles are available for use within the Area of Bundaberg in the Wide Bay – Burnet region of Queensland, down to Byron Bay in northern New South Wales, and out west as far as Toowoomba in Southeast Queensland. Travel outside this area, either north or south, requires Manager Approval on a case-by-case basis. This also depends on length of hire. Please contact the agency directly if you wish to travel outside the standard Area of Use.

  

Grace Period
For vehicle pick-up: A 3-hour grace period is allowed free of charge. After this period, the booking will be considered a no-show, or a vehicle will be provided if availability allows.
For vehicle return: A 1-hour grace period is allowed free of charge. After that, hourly or daily charges may apply”.

Rental Contract: The customer will be sent the Rental Contract and full Terms and Conditions to sign digitally. Copies of licenses, proof of identification, and place of residence will be required. Payment for the Hire will be taken the day before supply of the car. Rental desk services are available during normal business hours.

Extras
Confirmation of Special Equipment depends upon the availability at the rental desk. Pre-book where possible.
